'Outstanding End' After Missing Capital Region 14-Year-Old Located

A 14-year-old boy from the region who was reported missing has been located.

Rensselaer County resident Matthew Ramos, of North Greenbush, left his home at the Eagle Rock Apartments sometime overnight Thursday, April 4, according to police.

Detectives had urged residents in the Defreestville, Highland Park, and Mansions area to check their outside surveillance video to aid in the search.

On Friday evening, police announced that the teen was found near his home and was "just fine." No other details were released.

"An outstanding end to this long day," North Greenbush Police said on Facebook.

Police are asking for help in locating a 14-year-old boy from the region who was reported missing.

Rensselaer County resident Matthew Ramos, of North Greenbush, left his home at the Eagle Rock Apartments sometime overnight Thursday, April 4, according to police.

Detectives urged residents in the Defreestville, Highland Park, and Mansions area to check their outside surveillance video to aid in the search.

Ramos is 5-foot-8 and 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing a green hooded sweatshirt that says, “Stay Sober,” beige sweatpants, and white Nike Air Force One sneakers.

Police said he may also have a black skateboard with him.
